Check Tracks Shape

The purpose of this page is to show the shape of each track is stable. The data have be dark subtracted and divided by integration times. Ony files with Backgropund subtraction off, a speed of 100 Mhz and Gain of 3 were used.

The First set of graphs normalized the adjusted data to the Maximum value in the track. This puts all the data the same scale.

The Second set of graphs Divides the normalized data by the mean.

Carol send me an email asking about the pixel size and how this corresponds to the width of tracks in pixel. If the fibers are 800 um and reach pixel is 13 um (with no dead space between) then a track should be 61.538 pixels wide. The black line on the first set of graphs is 61 pixel wide. Looks pretty good

EMAIL from Carol: Hey Steph, the pixels in this camera are 13 um square. The specs say there is no dead space. So what is the data telling us about the size of the image? If the spectrograph imaging is 1:1, then the tracks should be 800 um wide or 61.538 rows. Is this about right from the data? Thanks, Carol

Normalixed to track Max

Divided by the mean to show the about of variability as a ratio.
