Mike day 3 data changed the jig and FC ferrules and looked at saturation again, this time with different gains. This shows how the dark data changes with gain
MIKES day3 email: Mark suggested looking at gain, and he also thought that the fiber optic connector at the jig - the FC ferrule - was too long and was maybe interfering with the FOs FOV. So there was a different jig at the sphere tonight, with only alignment holes (no FC connectors), and I only used 5x FOs, #1,4,7,10,13, and I took saturation data at 1x, 2x, 4x preamp gains, via the Oriel lamp. I have only 1 log sheet for you, but I also have scans of the Andor System Performance Booklet for this camera = SN: 16346. From pg.2 one will notice: Saturation Signal per pixel = 120,022 (electrons/pix) CCD Sensitivity = 5.2 (eles/ A/D count) @ x1 Preamp gain, 0.05 MHz readout CCD Sensitivity = 2.8 (eles/ A/D count) @ x2 Preamp gain, 0.05 MHz readout CCD Sensitivity = 1.2 (eles/ A/D count) @ x4 Preamp gain, 0.05 MHz readout so @ gain 1, saturation= 120,022/5.1 = 23,081 (ADU/pix) @ gain 2, saturation= 120,022/2.8 = 42,865 (ADU/pix) @ gain 4, saturation= 120,022/1.2 = 100,018 (ADU/pix) Maybe the well was saturating at gain x1 WAY before the 16-bit A/D limit was reached? I think thats what it looked like tonight...
