Name definitions
MOS = Marine Optical System.
OM = Orientation Module.
This is the smaller-diameter, shorter-length white plastic tube at the bottom of MOBY.
It has 1x input EtherNet cable from the top-of-MOBY-controller,
and 1x power input from either the top-controller or from the LPJ.
LPJ = Lower Power Junction.
This is the white plastic tube that is mounted in the bottom of the buoy
(ex. see the photo #1 on page #2 in the pre-M268 cal report),
mounted next to MOS inside the MOS-cage, at the bottom of the MOBY.
The LPJ has one charge-in cable from the solar panels at the top-o-MOBY,
and 4x power-in/out cables from the 4x batteries at the bottom-o-MOBY,
and Nx power-out cables to the instruments = MOS, OM, BS, RS,
and has 1x comm-in cable from the upper controller.
The LPJ has a bunch of power relays, and some brains to open/close relays
to 1) direct solar panel charge to batteries, 2) direct battery power to instruments,
under command from the upper controller.
UC = Upper Controller, UC for the MOBY top-end controller.
This is where reside the Campbell controller and the Linux computer.
This has 2x cellular antenna connections 1) for the Campbell, 2) for the Linux.
The 4x solar panels at the top of MOBY connect here.
This connects to the LPJ at the bottom of MOBY, via Enet.
This connects to the BS & RS at bot-o-MOBY, via Enet.
This connects to the OM at bot-o-MOBY, via Enet.
As of this moment in time (14 May 2020), there are two functioning UC's: UC01 and UC02,
where UC01 goes with M268 & M270.
SBC, Single Board Computer == Falcon, in the BS & RS ( and SBC == Rabbit in the OM ).
But, SBC is an un-truth, because there is more than one board. Just the serial and USB interfaces take up one board,and iThink there is a separate board for the disc drive (?).
