Kens new Fraun lines wavelengths for BS (used in solar wavecals)

Below are the original wavelengths I used to fit the Fraun pixels positions too

   382*     127.20305
 393.4*     157.19328

First email from Ken on changing the Fraun line wavelengths using modtran and BS wavelengths and band pass

Wonder what would happen if you changed the line that you said was 382 to 383.3….

This is the from high res spectra from Modtran (so includes all atmospheric lines) which I convolved with a 1nm gaussian bandpass to match MOBY/refresh roughly…..

PDF shows the UV lines with the new wavelengths

Second email from Ken

Here are some graphs with the line positions identified.

Third email from Ken, clearing up a wavelength change

I made a mistake…it is 516.98 not 517.98

Mikes questions on wavelength change

Hi Steph,
Thanks for this (I tink...)!
I recall axing Ken for his Modtran kine during a telecon, and he said he'd try but it was big.
He never did and I never followed up on that...

Looking at the .pdf plots your forwarded to I, versus your L264 - BS03 / pg.8.03 listing,
you = 383.3,  but lines_350_400.pdf = 383.33  (i.e. not same @ last digit),
you = 516.97, but lines_500_500_2.pdf (I added "_2" to this filename) = 516.98 (i.e. not same @ last digit).

Here is yet another Q:  Why you no use the Fraunhofer H line @ Ken's 396.83 nm ?

Hi Steph,
I looked and I looked but I cannot find the figure comparing MOS Es versus BS Es
that I am thinking of (and I cannot recall if that was from MOBY261 or MOBY262),
so, here is my question: Does the 358 nm Fraunhofer line not show up in BS Es ?
