CRUISE | DATES | LOCATION |
NIST2002-01 | 14-Jan-2002 - 07-Feb-2002 | Honolulu |
Description: During this trip, we studied stray light effects for both MOS systems used in the buoys (MOS204 and MOS205). In order to do both systems, the trip was scheduled around the mooring and buoy swap that took place on January 22, 2002 (MOBY218 was retrieved, MOBY219 was deployed). This meant that the stray light measurements were in addition to the pre- and post-deployment instrument calibrations. We also investigated various effects in the Fiber Optic Spectrograph (FOS) and assessed the accuracy of the MLML radiance calibration sources. We have included several appendices to this report and also refer the reader to instrument log sheets (M. Feinholz and others) and the MLML summary documents on instrument history (S. Flora). |
