Details: Hi Stephanie, Sean and I went to the buoy on Tuesday, June 18. Levi was the captain and Nicklas was the safety diver. We took some photos and videos and also straightened out the ends of the arms so that the collectors were oriented in the correct vertical position removing the skewed angle that were found. We were not able to tighten the socket head cap screws that hold the arms and collector holders in place. It remains to be seen if they will stay in the correct position. The photos and videos are on the ftp space at /ftp1/Terry/MOBY-L282_190618. The times and dates on the photos are incorrect. I took photos of both before and after the arms were changed. I also took photos of the weather buoy but the boobies were not cooperating, they would fly off when we got too close. They seemed to enjoy perching on the ultrasonic anemometer between the three arms. We are on the Hawaiian Rafting Adventures for July 9th for the monthly cleaning weather permitting. Terry |
