Description: MOBY-L312: 16-Aug-2021 MOBY Maintenance Cruise: On Monday August 16 Darryl, Andrew and I flew to Maui to change out the upper main battery on MOBY271. The crew was Captain Craig and Pasquel. The weather was nice and the seas were flat. The old battery was removed and the new battery was installed with no issues. The team returned to Honolulu the same afternoon. The old battery was retuned to Honolulu and on inspection it was discovered that there was water in the terminal covers. It wasn’t flooded but enough to cause issues. It is not obvious where the failure occurred.
